Terms of Service
Last updated: March 22, 2026
Article 1 (Scope)
These Terms set forth the conditions for using TaskMail (the "Service"). You agree to these Terms when you use the Service. In addition to these Terms, you must comply with our separately published Privacy Policy and, to the extent applicable, terms and policies established by third parties such as Google and Gmail.
Article 2 (Description of the Service)
The Service is a Chrome extension that provides features such as task management linked to mail in Gmail, logs, categories, snippets, and workspaces (personal and team). Details of features, environment, and data handling follow the Privacy Policy and in-app explanations.
Article 3 (Registration and account)
You may use the Service after installing it from the Chrome Web Store and registering or signing in by methods we specify (e.g. email verification, Google account sign-in).
You warrant that your registration information is accurate and up to date.
For features that use Gmail integration, depending on implementation, a match between the Google account tied to your Chrome profile and the account shown in Gmail may be required.
Your account is for your use only; you must not transfer or lend it to third parties.
Article 4 (Paid plans and payment)
The Service may include free usage and paid plans (e.g. Personal Pro, Team Pro). Fees, content, and limits are as shown in the app or as we otherwise communicate.
Sign-up, renewal, cancellation, billing, and similar payments for paid plans are generally processed through Stripe and payment servers we designate. Card and other payment data are handled under the terms and policies of Stripe and other payment providers.
Due dates, handling of non-payment, proration on plan changes, and similar matters follow the behavior of the payment/subscription system and what we show in the app.
Article 5 (Prohibited conduct)
When using the Service, you must not:
- Violate laws or public order and morals, or act in a way that risks doing so
- Engage in crime, fraud, harassment, or infringement of others' rights
- Impose unreasonable load on servers or networks of the Service, us, other users, or third parties such as Google, Stripe, or Supabase; gain unauthorized access; decompile; scrape; or otherwise interfere with normal operation
- Use information obtained through the Service for purposes other than providing the Service, or disclose or provide it to third parties (except where permitted by law)
- Use another user's account or impersonate others
- Misuse, copy, modify, or reverse engineer the Service (except where permitted by law)
- Engage in any other conduct we deem inappropriate
Article 6 (Intellectual property)
Intellectual property rights in programs, designs, trademarks, documentation, and similar materials relating to the Service belong to us or rightful owners. The license under these Terms is a non-exclusive license to use the Service on your device. You grant us permission, within the scope of your rights, to process and store content you enter such as tasks and logs as needed to provide the Service.
Article 7 (Disclaimer)
The Service is provided "as is." We make no express or implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, completeness, continuity, or non-infringement of third-party rights.
Except for our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for damage arising from use or inability to use the Service. This does not apply where mandatory laws such as the Consumer Contract Act of Japan do not allow us to disclaim liability.
We are not liable for damage caused by failures, specification changes, or suspension of third-party services such as Gmail, Google, Stripe, or Supabase, except where we have intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
Article 8 (Changes and discontinuation)
We may change the Service or suspend or discontinue it as needed. We will try to notify you in the app or by other appropriate means where feasible.
Article 9 (Suspension and deletion)
If you violate these Terms, we may, without prior notice, suspend all or part of the Service to you or delete your account.
Article 10 (Changes to Terms)
We may change these Terms as needed. Revised Terms take effect when posted on this page. For material changes, we will try to notify you by means we consider appropriate. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
Article 11 (Governing law and jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute regarding the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court of first instance having jurisdiction over the location of our principal office, except where mandatory laws such as the Consumer Contract Act of Japan designate another court.
